FUJIWARA FOURTH IN GERMANY AS CHARPENTIER CRASHES OUT

Katsuaki Fujiwara finished fourth in today's World Supersport championship tenth
round race at Eurospeedway Lausitz in Germany. The race was stopped after nine
laps as rain began to fall on the 4.3km circuit, but Winston Ten Kate Honda's
recently-crowned World Supersport champion, Sebastien Charpentier, was unable to
make the restart after he had crashed out of third place on lap three of the
23-lap race.

The race was won by Australia's Kevin Curtain from team-mate Broc Parkes, with
2002 World Supersport champion, Fabien Foret, third.

Ronald ten Kate - team manager:

"All records have to come to an end sometime and it feels very strange not to be
on the podium for the first time, I think, since Phillip Island last year. In
the first part of the race it was clear that Curtain and Parkes were
surprisingly quick and Sebastien was the only rider who could stay with them.
It's disappointing that he wasn't there for the second part as their pace seemed
to drop off towards the end. Kats made some changes during the 'wet' practice
before part two, which seemed to help, but we've been chasing our tails with his
bike set-up this weekend. We'll be back on form for Imola, I'm sure."

Katsuaki Fujiwara - fourth

"We made some changes between the two parts of the race because it was clear
that the rain wouldn't keep falling. The balance of the bike was definitely
better and the changes seemed to work in the second part. Unfortunately, I was
too far back after the first part of the race and I made a small mistake at the
end of the start-finish straight, which dropped me back from the leaders. I'll
fight hard in Imola to get second place back in the championship for my
mechanics and the whole team."

Sebastien Charpentier - DNF

"It feels very strange, I have to admit. I don't really understand what happened
in the crash - it was exactly the same as the crash in qualifying yesterday and
on exactly the same corner. I was feeling OK, although Curtain and Parkes were
fast, which surprised me. We still have two more races, though, the last one in
my own country; I am still hungry for wins and I will be riding as well as I can
at Imola and at Magny-Cours."
